The new option is what I'm calling "visual option / alternate views"
It uses picture pages and can be used to either choose options (auto select from the picpage drop down) or it can be used to just show alternate views of the product. Should be finished in the next day or two.
Each product can use none, one or even both picpages as visual option / alternate views.
If you selected Visual Options for the Picture Pages then the product pictures will work differently (Pic 1 and pic 2)...
Only the first image will be used and it will be used only as the thumbnails in the category listings, on sale listings etc. it will not show in the product detail page itself.
